Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming strategic management by changing how organizations collect information, forecast market developments, allocate resources, evaluate risks, and make business decisions. Technologies such as machine learning, natural language processing, predictive analytics, generative AI, and intelligent automation enable managers to analyse large and complex datasets more quickly than conventional methods. This article examines the influence of AI on strategic planning and managerial decision-making through a conceptual review of existing academic literature. The findings indicate that AI can improve forecasting accuracy, operational efficiency, customer understanding, strategic agility, and the speed of decision-making. It also supports scenario analysis, competitive intelligence, innovation management, supply-chain planning, and risk assessment. However, AI-generated recommendations may be affected by biased data, limited explainability, privacy concerns, cybersecurity threats, and excessive managerial dependence on automated systems. AI is therefore most effective when it complements human judgement instead of replacing it. Organizations should adopt a human–AI collaborative model supported by reliable data, managerial capabilities, ethical governance, transparent systems, and continuous performance monitoring. The article concludes that the strategic value of AI depends not merely on acquiring advanced technology but on aligning it with organizational objectives, decision processes, employee capabilities, and accountability structures.
