We pride ourselves on fostering innovation and are dedicated to the principles of open and scientific research data.

We are currently seeking a Associate Editor and Advisory Board Members who aligns with our vision to assist the Editors-in-Chief with manuscript management and to contribute to the journal's growth.

Responsibilities of Associate Editors

  • Review manuscripts within your area of expertise.
  • Promote IJLAPT among your peers.
  • Expand IJLAPT's influence in your professional network.
  • Recruit or recommend high-quality papers.

 Editorial Board Members Responsibilities

Guidelines for Journal Editors.

  • Publication Decisions: Editors decide which submitted articles are published, guided by the work's validity and relevance. This decision may be informed by the journal's policies and legal requirements regarding libel, copyright, and plagiarism.

  • Fair Play: Editors evaluate manuscripts based on intellectual content without discrimination against the authors' race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnicity, citizenship, or political views.

  • Confidentiality: Editors and editorial staff must keep all information about submitted manuscripts confidential, sharing details only with the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial advisors, and the publisher as appropriate.

  • Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest: Editors must not use unpublished material from submitted manuscripts in their own research without the author's explicit consent. Confidential information gained through peer review should not be used for personal gain. Editors should recuse themselves from handling manuscripts where there is a conflict of interest and ensure all contributors disclose any competing interests. If conflicts are revealed post-publication, appropriate actions such as corrections or retractions should be taken.

  • Cooperation in Investigations: Editors should take appropriate action when ethical complaints arise concerning submitted or published papers. This may involve contacting the authors, relevant institutions, and research bodies, and possibly issuing corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern. All unethical publishing behavior must be investigated, regardless of when it is discovered.

Eligibility for Associate Editors or Advisory Board Members:

  • To meet the criteria, applicants should possess:
  • A Ph.D. or equivalent degree with substantial field experience, or
  • A professorial position at a recognized academic institution.
  • Significant expertise in a specialized research area.
  • Industrial experience with strong technological exposure is also considered.

Candidates should submit a cover letter addressing their interest in and vision for the Associate Editor or Advisory Board Members/reviewers role, along with their CV and any additional supporting materials.

  • A brief bio including links i.e. Scopus profile, orcid, web of science profile, google scholar profile, university/institution profile, LinkedIn profile, photo, educational background.
  • Research interests
  • Motivation for becoming an Associate Editor for the IJLAPT Journal.
  • How their expertise can enhance the journal.
  • Their views on open source, open data, and scientific research, and how these align with the journal’s mission.
  • Previous and current involvement with the IJLAPT Journal.
  • Editorial experience, such as manuscript assessment and reviewer invitation.
  • Strategies for representing the journal at IJLAPT conferences.
  • Any other relevant information that supports the application.

Our mission is to enhance IJLAPT as a valuable resource for scholars, researchers, and students. If interested, please submit a brief bio, photo, educational background, research interests, and relevant information for review. We are eager to receive your ongoing support and contribution to elevating the quality of IJLAPT. We hope that with your involvement, IJLAPT will evolve into a leading international journal.

Duties of Reviewers:

reviewers contribute to editorial decisions and help authors improve their manuscripts through constructive feedback.

  • Timeliness: Reviewers who are unable to review a manuscript promptly or feel unqualified should inform the editor and withdraw from the review process.

  • Confidentiality: Manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential and not disclosed or discussed with others unless authorized by the editor.

  • Objectivity and Standards: Reviews should be conducted objectively, avoiding personal criticism of the author. Comments should be clear and well-supported.

  • Acknowledgment of Sources: Reviewers should identify relevant work not cited by the authors and alert the editor to any significant similarities with other published papers.

  • Disclosure and Conflict of Interest: Reviewers must not use unpublished material from the manuscript in their own research without the author's consent and should keep privileged information confidential. Reviewers should avoid reviewing manuscripts where there is a conflict of interest.

  • To apply as a reviewer for the IJLAPT journal, please log in or create an account.
  • Linking your ORCID iD to your Reviewer account strengthens the connection between you and your research work, enhancing your visibility and preventing cases of mistaken identity. An ORCID iD is mandatory for all IJLAPT reviewers to ensure seamless integration and credibility.
